The President of Moldova held a working meeting with the Ambassador of Ireland

Today, President Igor Dodon had a farewell working meeting with the Ambassador of Ireland in the Republic of Moldova, residing in Bucharest, E.S. Derek Feely.

During the meeting, the Head of State underlined that boosting of the Moldovan-Irish relationship is a priority for the Republic of Moldova, what, also, is proved by the Moldovan Government’s decision to open a diplomatic mission in Ireland. As well, Igor Dodon welcomed the Irish party's intention to open a diplomatic mission in Chisinau.

At the same time, the President expressed to the diplomat his acknowledgement towards the Irish assistance in various areas of Moldova. Igor Dodon stressed that he still counts on the Irish support in the process of implementation of the reform agenda planed by the current Government. Also, the Head of State counts on trade increase and attraction of Irish investors in the national economy.

Finally, Igor Dodon acknowledged the activity of the diplomat in our country and wished him success in his new mission. The Head of State expressed his confidence that with the new ambassador, the partnership between the Republic of Moldova and Ireland will continue to develop by multiple plans for the benefit of citizens.
